Stalking the Backrooms is a series of paintings investigating ways of representing trauma and burnout in the workplace. Responding to the 2019 4chan horror meme, an imagined alternative reality which epitomises the internet aesthetic of liminal spaces, the body of work creates a recognisable but uncomfortable setting that holds a quiet threat.
