Born in Boorloo (Perth), Western Australia, Lawrence Vincent
is a visual artist and musician currently undertaking a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Fine Art) at Curtin University. Practicing on Whadjuk Noongar Boodja, he works in contemporary art across sculpture, printmaking, painting, and media art. 

He is interested in our ‘post-internet’ society, where the net’s ubiquity
has changed visual culture in strange ways, and finding methods of intervening and disrupting the class status of visual images through transformations between media, as in his ongoing ‘In Defence of the Cursed Image’ painting series and his reCAPTCHA sculptures. 

Drawing upon his background as an engineer, he
looks for connections between visual arts, music, and sciences in order to explore ways of communicating the human experience.
